How it works

Our mystery shopping methodology

A disciplined, five-step methodology that turns everyday customer interactions into decision-ready intelligence.

01

Define the business questions

Every programme starts with what you need to learn. We translate business objectives into precise evaluation questions — never a generic checklist.

02

Design scenarios & criteria

We build realistic scenarios and clear, observable scoring criteria aligned to your service standards and the behaviours that drive revenue.

03

Match & train evaluators

Evaluators are selected by language, demographic profile and sector experience, then briefed and quality-checked before every assignment.

04

Conduct discreet evaluations

Evaluations are carried out as ordinary customer interactions. Every submission is reviewed against quality standards before it reaches you.

05

Deliver evidence & priorities

You receive scored evidence, branch and channel benchmarks, and prioritised corrective actions — all visible in your executive dashboard.

Our philosophy

What makes a mystery-shopping programme worth running

A mystery-shopping programme is only worth running if the evidence it produces is credible enough to act on and clear enough to act quickly. That credibility does not come from the number of visits; it comes from the discipline applied at every stage — from how the business question is framed, to how evaluators are matched and briefed, to how submissions are reviewed and scores are calibrated. A programme that skips these steps produces numbers, not insight.

Generic, off-the-shelf checklists are the most common reason mystery-shopping programmes fail. They measure whether a step happened, but not whether it was done well; they treat a luxury boutique and a quick-service counter as if they were the same business; and they produce scores that frontline teams can — rightly — dismiss as unfair. Our methodology starts with your service standards and your commercial objectives, and builds the evaluation criteria around the behaviours that actually move them.

The result is a programme that holds up under scrutiny — from boards, from regulators, and from the location teams whose performance it reflects. Scores are comparable across branches and over time, findings are tied to evidence, and every recommendation is specific enough to coach and verify. That is what turns a mystery-shopping exercise into a service-improvement system.
